Woldingham
Woldingham has a variety of different shops along The Crescent Street, which is in the centre of the village. Take your car hire along here and stop off at one of the shops that temps you. If you are looking for something relaxing to do then there are tennis courts as well as two golf courses to choose from.
Woldingham also has an interesting history; in 1940 a bungalow called ‘Funny Neuk’ was home to the Czechoslovak military intelligence radio station, this was used for the communications system, which helped in the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. In 1942 the radio station moved to Hockliffe and is a wonderful piece of history.
Woldingham has an extensive amount of clubs and societies such as a Badminton club, a Tennis Club, and the Pantomime club. If you would like to try out hang gliding you can also try the Green Dragons Club.
